- Dress for a cool day and a cold night. Late-November highs in Tuscaloosa are usually in the mid-60s, with lows in the low 40s. For a night kickoff, add a jacket or pick a long-sleeve dress or a sweater set.
- Wear shoes you can stand in all day. Boots go with a dress in late November, and you'll be on your feet from the tailgate to the fourth quarter.

The Iron Bowl is the Saturday after Thanksgiving, so plan around the holiday:
- Students go home for the break. Many lenders are students, so set up a local pickup in Tuscaloosa or Auburn before campus empties out, or choose shipping.
