How renting a designer dress works

  1. Find the dress. Search by designer, or filter by size, color and price. Each listing shows the owner's photos and her prices.
  2. Message the owner. Ask for measurements and how it fits on her. Designer sizing varies from label to label, so it's worth asking even if you know your size.
  3. Choose your dates and delivery. Owners set a flat price for each rental length they offer (2, 4, 5, 7, 14 or 30 days). Choose local handoff, shipping or a same-city courier, depending on what the owner allows.
  4. Wear it.
  5. Send it back. Return it the way it came, using the prepaid label for shipped rentals or a handoff for local ones.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to rent a designer dress?

On e.closet, most dresses from the designers above typically rent for $40–$100 for the shortest length the owner offers. Delivery and a small service fee show at checkout.

Do I need a subscription to rent designer dresses?

No. There's no subscription or monthly fee. You pay per rental, and only when you have something to wear it to.

Are the designer dresses authentic?

Every designer item must be authentic, and owners must provide proof on request. Counterfeits are banned, and an item that isn't as described can be refunded under e.closet's Return & Refund Policy.

What if a designer dress doesn't fit?

Check measurements with the owner before booking, since fit issues aren't refundable when the listed size was accurate. If the dress arrives materially different from the listing, you can file a claim in the app.

What happens if I damage a designer dress?

Normal wear is expected. Damage beyond that, and late returns, are charged under e.closet's Rental Protection Policy.

Can I rent out my own designer dresses?

Yes. List them on e.closet and set your own rental prices. See how renting works.
